Corporate Cafeterias can be acoustical nightmares. Mortenson Construction, an internationally known general contractor and construction company, recently remodeled its Golden Valley, Minnesota corporate headquarters campus. A new cafeteria was built that also serves as a meeting room for large corporate meetings. RSP Architects, Minneapolis, Minnesota chose the PHONSTOP panels to provide adequate sound absorption to this space. The main reasons for the selection of this product were the high recycled content and the appearance of the panels. PHONSTOP blends in perfectly with the raw concrete ceiling. It was also advantageous that the product could be adhered to the concrete substrate. Mechanical fasteners were avoided.
