pinta goes SAP - The score at halftime
As already mentioned in a previous News article, converting to a new operating system is more like a roller coaster than a walk in the park. That is, unless it is possible to continue day-to-day operations without interruption during implementation. This is what happened in the USA where SAP was introduced smoothly in June of last year and now, six months after "going live," the effort can be viewed as a big success. The pinta colleagues from Minneapolis are excited about the many improvements that increase efficiency, transparency and, finally, simplicity. Whether this is when ordering in manufacturing, providing a clearer look at inventory or overall faster, more customer friendly processes. While "SAPization" is almost completed in the USA, it just started at enac on 1 January 2010. The starting gun will sound at all other pinta locations right on schedule around the middle of this year. More about that soon.
